Common Issues

This page covers frequently encountered problems and their solutions.

Account Issues

Can't Log In

Magic link not arriving:

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify you entered the correct email
  • Wait a few minutes and try again
  • Check if your email provider blocks transactional emails

Google sign-in not working:

  • Clear browser cookies and try again
  • Try a different browser
  • Ensure pop-ups aren't blocked
  • Check if your organization restricts Google OAuth

Email Not Verified

If your email isn't verified:

  1. Check for a verification email in your inbox
  2. Check spam/junk folders
  3. Request a new verification email from settings

Site Issues

Site Won't Add

Invalid URL error:

  • Include the protocol (https://)
  • Don't include paths (/blog)
  • Check for typos

Site not accessible:

  • Verify the site loads in a browser
  • Check if the site is behind authentication
  • Ensure the site isn't blocking requests

Scan Issues

Scans Not Starting

Out of scans:

  • Check your usage in Settings → Billing
  • Wait for your billing cycle to reset
  • Upgrade your plan for more scans

Site not verified:

Scans Taking Too Long

Normal for larger sites. If excessive:

  • Check if your server is slow
  • Verify no rate limiting is blocking the crawler
  • Large sites (1000+ pages) take longer

Results Issues

Unexpected Results

Score seems wrong:

  • The algorithm weights issues by category and severity
  • Check which issues are affecting your score most
  • Review the Health Score documentation

Missing pages:

  • Ensure pages are in your sitemap
  • Check robots.txt isn't blocking pages
  • Verify pages don't require authentication

False Positives

For incorrectly detected issues:

  1. Review the issue details
  2. If truly incorrect, mark as False Positive
  3. For spelling, add words to your custom dictionary

Notification Issues

Not Receiving Emails

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Whitelist hello@auditoro.io
  3. Verify your email address in settings
  4. Check notification settings are enabled

Too Many Emails

  1. Switch to digest mode (daily/weekly)
  2. Disable notifications for low-priority sites
  3. Adjust notification thresholds

Performance Issues

Dashboard Loading Slowly

  • Clear browser cache
  • Try a different browser
  • Check your internet connection
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily

Features Not Working

  • Refresh the page
  • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • Try incognito/private mode
  • Update your browser

Payment Issues

Payment Failed

  1. Verify your card details are correct
  2. Check the card isn't expired
  3. Ensure sufficient funds
  4. Contact your bank if it's being declined
  5. Try a different payment method

Charged Incorrectly

Contact support@auditoro.io with:

  • Your account email
  • The charge date and amount
  • Description of the issue
